Data Storage
Directories
- Home directory: located at /home/<NetID Initial>/<NetID>. For example, /home/r/rockybull. User bash profiles are stored in this directory. Users can choose to store their data or program in this directory. There is a quota of 100GB per user. Home directory storage will not be increased on request.
- Data directory: located at /data/<NetID>. For example, /data/rockybull. This directory is intended for bulk data storage. There is a quota of 100GB per user. If you need additional space please fill out this form on our Jira portal.
- Apps Directory: read-only and located at /apps. All shared programs, such as compilers, Anaconda, and CUDA, are installed here. Users can install programs in their Home and Data directories. If there is a program that requires root privilege email us at GAIVIADMIN@usf.edu.
- General Directory: located at /general/<NetID>. For example, /general/rockybull. This directory is intended for hot data storage. There is a hard quota of 100GB per user.
- NVMe Directories: located at /nvme/<GroupName>. For example, /nvme/ROCK. These directories are intended for hot data storage specifically for Research Groups. There are hard quotas of 3TB per group directory. There are no individual user quotas within these group directories, therefore the members of each Research Group have flexibility and must work together for capacity usage within the 3TB quota. The users of these directories must be members of that particular Research Group to access.
